Lead Oracle Applications DBA

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager DBA Operations, the individual will be fully responsible for of the basic and more complex tasks associated with Oracle Application Management and for all technical matters related to the Oracle Applications databases including upgrades, cloning, monitoring and tuning the operating environment, coordinating/executing all code migrations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Apply Patches and perform implementations, installations and upgrades as required, while working closely with Oracle Support to resolve any issues.
  • Opening, Managing, and Resolving Oracle SRs (Troubleshoot issues raised by users and provide timely resolutions), via a thorough understanding of Oracle Apps technical environment.
  • Carry out critical events SLA management and first response.
  • Full Applications (11i / R12) support, including Installation and Cloning of Applications, as well as System Administration and Troubleshooting, Backups, Refreshes and Non-Production Clones.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Apache, Applications stack, discoverer and DB.
  • Perform Apps / DB Bounces, Applying Data fixes, Enabling Workflow Mailer Logging, Setting up Debug logs, Gathering Schema Statistics, Running RDAs (Remote Diagnostic Agent), Opatch and AD Utilities, collecting logs and traces & other DB commands.
  • Analyze and document system storage requirements.
  • Configuring, creating new instances for reporting purposes and automating the process of refreshing instances
  • Work in flexible Shifts as demanded by project or task being done.
  • Deal with clients regularly via email and phone.

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of strong working experience with Oracle Apps DBA activities, supporting Implementations, Installations, Customizations, Administration and Report Configuration for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
  • The following technologies would be a plus: Weblogic, EBS 12.2.x, SOA, OBIEE, SSO/OID, GRC, Agile.5 + years’ experience with JD Edwards software
  • Experience in Installation, configuration, Tuning Maintenance and Upgrade of Oracle Applications release 11i/ R12.
  • Experience in Patching, Cloning/Backup recovery Both Application and Database
  • Experience in Performance & tuning Database
  • Experience with Enterprise Manager, 10g database
  • Experience in performing release upgrades of Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Experience with Load balancing of application tier, and setting up parallel concurrent processing
  • Responsible for installing/maintaining multiple development and test environments
  • Experience in Offshore environment
  • Experience in RAC implementations, BPEL, Integration a plus.
  • Production working knowledge a must.
  • Experience in Core DBA Applications Sysadmin tasks such as printer configuration, custom top creation, etc.
  • Knowledge on Discoverer and Application Server is an added advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on issues related to Apache, Applications stack, discoverer and DB.
  • Good with Backup and restore process using RMAN
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in the EBS environment and with core DB
  • Application DBA experience in Backup and Recovery (RMAN and hot backup) Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard setup and configuration Knowledge on Database
  • Candidate must have good analytical and problem solving skills.

Qualifications

Reporting to the Technical Lead, the Sr. Systems Engineer will be part of a team supporting Oracle OVM /OEL, VMWare/RHEL infrastructure deployed in HP Blade x86 cloud architecture and Solaris 10/11 Sun SPARC platforms.

The individual will be involved in architecting, sizing, and deploying virtual and physical compute environments for mission-critical, global application and database software deployments.

Responsibilities

  • IT Asset Management – Design and implement solutions following established IT Asset Management standards

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in the implementation of ITIL and ITOM modules within ServiceNow
  • Minimum of 8 years working IT environment.
  • Five years of experience in SaaS software configuration and development using Web Services and Simple Object Access Protocol, XML/RPC.
  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator
  • College degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform as well as experience delivering a minimum of two medium to large-scale ServiceNow implementations and version upgrade
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs

ERP Account Manager (Intermediate)

Reporting to the Director of Account Management, the ERP Account Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage our client services in a managed service environment
  • Participate in customer governance committees

Sr. I Series Technical Analyst

Position Summary 

Reporting to the Lead Infrastructure, the Sr. iSeries technical Analyst is responsible for management, administration, and maintenance of all the IBM i systems within set constraints and reacts appropriately to situations. The Sr. iSeries Technical Analyst is required to utilize industry standard tools to report performance statistics and pinpoint effects of new design elements for application optimization. This person interacts with other groups to accomplish business objectives within procedural policies. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provides overall system administration, support and maintenance of operating system and network connectivity for all iSeries systems;
  • Monitors and respond to hardware and software alarms using appropriate problem determination tools.
  • Monitors enterprise-level Power systems to maintain performance levels within set constraints and react appropriately to situations
  • Troubleshoots errors related to the System i hardware, operating system, data base and third party software
  • Manages installation of IBM i software and CUMs and PTFs.
  • Manages jobs and system messages.
  • Contributes to project activities by supporting system architecture, technical design and implementation.
  • Performs System i disaster recovery activities: plan, documentation, implementation and testing.
  • Performs System i LPARS capacity planning, operating system and resources related tuning and optimisation to ensure maximum system uptime and performance
  • Utilizes performance management tools for IBM i and projects future trending in order to recommend proper upgrade specifications
  • Produces and updates IBM i technical and operations documentations.
  • Performs backup and restore operations
  • Manages system and user security
  • Identifies effects of new product offerings on infrastructure and proposes design ideas
  • Researches latest Power technology developments in order to design, spec, and implement the latest and best available technologies
  • Experience with IBM PSeries Systems is a definite plus
  • Will be required to work afterhours on weekends 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or comparable experience.
  • 10 or more years of experience administering enterprise-level IBM i Power systems.
  • AS 400 related certifications a plus.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, Telnet, FTP,
  • Knowledge of high availability solutions (MIMIX, iTera, iCluster, etc.) is required
  • Extensive knowledge in all areas of the System i including:
    iSeries Security, Work Management, Capacity & Performance, Communication, BRMS, CL Programming, LPAR configuration, HMC configuration and utilization.
  • Required experience maintaining infrastructure through patching and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience working within an enterprise wide datacenter environment is desired
  • Experience working in a virtualized environment (Partition mobility, AIX, etc)
  • Knowledge of IBM V7000 storage arrays
  • Knowledge of IBM Flex technology
  • Knowledge of VIOS with Virtual storage / Tape Drives
  • Knowledge of Robot System monitoring software.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to react quickly and appropriately to high pressure/high impact situations and determine the best solution
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to take the lead, as appropriate
