Larry Ellison Discusses Oracle’s Investment to JD Edwards

Larry Ellison, co-founder and chief executive of Oracle Corporation, discusses Oracle’s commitment to JD Edwards for years to come.

Larry Ellison, speaking at Oracle OpenWorld 2012 in San Francisco reiterated Oracle’s investment in the JD Edwards product line.

“JD Edwards certainly deserves to be in there, it’s a product we continue to invest in, it is a very important product and it does run on the Oracle private cloud.

We have an extremely satisfied group of JD Edwards customers, and our intent is to continue and invest in and improve that product line. Simultaneously giving you a graceful bridge, so if you chose to move to Fusion, this year, next year, ten years from now, you have that option.

We are certainly not going to induce you to move to fusion by de-investing in JD Edwards. [JD Edwards] is something we are going to invest in this year, next year, five years from now, ten years from now. [JD Edwards] is a very important and strategic product line for us.”
