SAP Business Analytics
Effectively utilize data to unlock SAP business value.
Too much of a good thing?
Mired in endless data from disparate internal and external systems, businesses are under immense competitive pressure to clear the way for better-informed decisions using data. Without an expedient and cost-effective way to access a cross-section of data, both the descriptive analytics of traditional business intelligence (BI) and the predictive power of business analytics (BA) are effectively stymied by having too much of a good thing.
Data is the foundation for growth and innovation
Forward-thinking companies are re-calibrating their data for growth and innovation. To outperform your peers, you will need to successfully generate business value from your data. But the data is quickly getting out of hand. With the average company seeing data volume grow more than 50% a year while managing more than 30 data sources, the volume and complexity of data can be challenging. It doesn’t have to sink your efforts. You can glean data insights from across your organization using big data, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) with Syntax’s help.

Partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
As an AWS Premier and MSP Partner, Syntax has a long-standing partnership with AWS. Together, we will enable your organization to take advantage of one of today’s biggest opportunities: business analytics. We’ll improve your analysis capabilities to boost performance, maximize your return on investments, and increase profitability.
Unlike other ERPs, typical SAP licensing does not allow for querying or extracting data directly from the database, making it challenging to extract necessary data for analytics in non SAP environments. To navigate this, Syntax has developed Operational Data Provisioning extractors using native SAP tools that enable APIs which can then be pulled from by standard AWS ETL tools such as AWS Glue, all in a serverless architecture. And because Syntax has SAP expertise, we know precisely the required extractors to enable base off of business needs, which greatly expedites the speed to implement, while providing business users exactly what they need. And this requires no third-party products (there are products out there such as Theobald which some SAP customers leverage in similar situations, but that has a cost, requires a server to host, etc). Syntax and AWS can help you leverage data from SAP and use it as a launching point to take your business analytics to the next level.
Predict future demand with Amazon Forecast for ERP
By leveraging Syntax expertise to integrate Amazon Forecast with your ERP systems, you can improve your sales forecast accuracy by up to 50%. By predicting demand correctly using past ERP data points, you’ll be able to maintain the optimal product inventory levels, while accurately predicting your production needs and future demand. This will help you eliminate financial waste, make complex decisions, and move forward a data-driven operating model.
Amazon Forecast doesn’t require a lot of know-how of complex concepts such as ML to run and it’s extremely cost effective. And you don’t need full-time employees, servers, and complex software to make it happen. With Syntax’s help, you leverage your data from the data lake and choose from multiple forecasting scenarios.
Learns relationships between multiple related time-series
Incorporates external data (holidays, promotions, etc.)
Generates forecasts for new items
Predicts spikes accurately
Data Lakes on AWS
Transform a data swamp into a clear business advantage. Syntax can guide you on how to best test the waters of a data lake. Syntax has helped numerous customers implement a secure, flexible, and cost-effective data lake hosted on AWS. With more than 20 years of Business Analytics experience, Syntax has the knowledge and experience to migrate and manage your data lakes with AWS. We start with a workshop to define your short-term and long-term analytic needs and lay out the process and benefits to get there.
One you get started and the data is in the lake, customers can benefit from consumption through KPIs and dashboards, or become more forward looking in their analysis through machine learning applications such as AWS Forecast or Sagemaker, all without having to have the in house expertise to do so, and at a surprisingly affordable price point. These types of capabilities don’t exist within traditional SAP Business Intelligence toolsets, and open SAP customers to a whole new world of possibilities.
Leverage best-in-class
AWS Building Blocks
The benefits of using data lakes include the ability to harness more data, from more sources, in less time, while empowering users to collaborate and analyze data in different ways, leading to faster decision making. Syntax takes the next step by leveraging the appropriate best-in-class AWS building blocks in a serverless architecture to store, transform, and analyze your data, providing enterprise wide key performance indicators (KPIs) and predictive analytics. Once your environments are up and running, our managed services teams are available to maintain optimization and help you take advantage of additional long-term capabilities.
Overcome Data Silos and gain insights from different data sources
You can’t just tell the data scientist you hired yesterday to dump the data from your ERP into some big data algorithm and call it a day. It’s not that simple. Syntax can help you think about your data and overcome your data silos. Although ERP systems have a lot of data, it represents only one repository. You may also have customer relationship management (CRM), human resources (HR) data, and Internet of Things (IoT) data. No matter the size of your organization or where you are on your business analytics journey, we can help you solve today’s current data conundrum and excel. Whether you are at the C-suite level or lead a line of business, you want answers and Syntax can help you find them.
