The Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Codelevel Checker (ETCC) tool provides two shell scripts that are used to identify missing database or middle tier patches that may need to be applied to your E-Business Suite Release 12.2 system.
Oracle strongly recommends using this utility and continues to make significant enhancements to the tool. ETCC is now able to generate a summary report that lists all patches needed for an E-Business Suite system.
The ETCC includes two scripts: DB-ETCC and MT-ETCC. Both warn of missing bug fixes required for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.
checkDBpatch.sh
The Database E-Business Suite Technology Codelevel Checker (DB-ETCC) script identifies all the missing patches for the specified RDBMS ORACLE_HOME.
checkMTpatch.sh
The Middle Tier E-Business Suite Technology Codelevel Checker (MT-ETCC) script identifies all the missing patches for the middle tier applications.

Where do you download ETCC?
Oracle recommends using the latest version of ETCC. The latest version of ETCC utility can be downloaded via Patch 17537119 from My Oracle Support.
ETCC helps customers ensure they have the necessary database and application tier bugfixes installed on their Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 system. The newer version of ETCC even maps bug fixes to patches thereby making it easier for clients to identify missing patches on their EBS 12.2 system.
